Casa de Esmeralda is a luminous penthouse apartment in the Albayzin district. It occupies the top floor of the building. It was built in 2001, using recycled materials, based on an Andalusian design of a traditional courtyard (patio de vecinos) which fills the apartment with natural light. There are two other apartments on the lower floors of the building
This spaciousapartment (about 100 m2 and a large private terrace of 20 m2) has views of the city from the lounge and the adjacent terrace. The apartment feels comfortable and would be a relaxed family home.
As you enter the apartment, the landing opens onto the lounge with four windows and a glass door providing access to the furnished terrace, a first double bedroom with built-in wardrobe, the shower room and a high ceiling well equipped kitchen with washer and dishwasher. A corridor with more windows leads to the large master bedroom with its own access to the terrace and the third double bedroom with a window onto the internal courtyard.
There is air conditioning in the lounge and in one of the bedrooms, and a standing fan. During the winter months the house is heated with reverse cycle air conditioning and stand alone electric heaters.
