When we decided to go for a Spain sabbatical, using Christine at Your Year in Spain was the best decision we ever made. We can’t imagine doing it without Christine’s help. She helped us get through one hurdle at a time knowing that it was a real journey with ups and downs. Christine kept us grounded throughout the process. She has the resources to know what, when, and how to get through the complexities. She really walked us through everything and got us here to Spain. She set so much up for us that we never would have known on our own! Using Your Year in Spain and working closely with Christine’s support, humor, and ease made the process so much more achievable. Christine really is the most professional and thoughtful person to deal with. Not only did she organise a beautiful house, a great school for our children and sort out our visas, but since we arrived she has constantly provided great information about things to do in Granada. Finding a long-term rental in a new city can be overwhelming, but working with Christine and her team made our move to Granada smooth, seamless, and completely stress-free.

We had some concerns about how quickly we could find and rent an apartment once we arrived in Granada so we reached out to Your Year in Spain for assistance and we are very glad we did.  Christine and her team took such great care of us and found us the apartment of our dreams before our plane even landed.    She made sure we had someone with us for every step along the way. I questioned if it would be worth getting Christine to help with the move to Granada, but it absolutely was!

If it wasn’t for Christine, I think I would have either not got on the plane to come here (even though I’d gone to the effort of getting a VISA), or I would have gotten very stressed and ended up leaving within a month of arriving!

Christine made sure that everything was ready for my arrival in Granada; she found an apartment for me, secured the lease, and sorted out the logistics (I chose to fly to Madrid and I had a lot of luggage!). Once I arrived, Christine and hear team helped with opening a bank account, getting a SIM card and WIFI, getting my padrón and TIE, as well as answering questions and providing resources to make settling in easier.

This meant that I spent my first few weeks in Granada on fun things like enjoying my hobbies, exploring the city and making new friends, rather than administration and trying to deal with Spanish bureaucracy.

Even before we became Christine’s clients, she has been incredibly helpful all the way through to helping us along our way getting settled in our new home town in Spain. We have moved countries before and we really believe Christine is the best! She isn’t selling anything, she’s simply giving you the facts, her inside knowledge and experiences and kindly assisting with every random question you have along the way! She has a contact for everything! She worked urgently to enroll our kids in school before semana Santa because she knew any later could be difficult. Plus, she connected us to the most perfect home for our family! We’re so happy!
